Clinical History
67-year-old male complaining of low back and hip pain. Radiograph at presentation considered normal. MRI scan of the lumbar spine showed a small disc extrusion at the lumbosacral level which was considered too small to warrant surgery. Symptoms persisted. Further radiographs at 25 and 28 months after presentation also reported as normal. Lesion detected on final radiograph obtained 29 months after presentation.
